March 14, 2014 by Joel_Hughes

In the run up to this July’s conference (and, after for that matter) I’ll be hitting the road and doing a mini-roadshow for The Business of Web design and visiting a few places around the UK (more details here). The first visit is on the 25th of March where I’ll be speaking at the WordPress London event – please come along or check out where else I’m heading (more venues announced soon).

The (in flux) running order is currently:

  • London – 25th March
  • Nottingham – 9th April
  • Exeter – 22nd May
  • Bath – 4th June
  • York – around the 2nd of July

(more to come)

(Oh, before I forget, thanks to the lovely people at Campaign Monitor for sponsoring the roadshow.)

Freelancer & Agency Interviews

I thought I’d make the most of my time in the places I visit and I’m going to try and squeeze in one or two interviews with freelancers and people who run web/creative agencies.

I’m particularly interetested in speaking to folks who’ve got opinions on (and are happy to share)

  • pricing
  • dealing with clients
  • retaining staff
  • Creating a great work environment
  • Developing the business
  • etc

The interviews will be recorded as I want to put the audio on this site. Interviewees will get the chance to review first to make sure they are happy etc.

I want be able to say yes to all requests but my time will be really limited on the day. If you’re keen to get involved, I’m sure we can organise something.

Please shout out if you have any ideas.

Joel

p.s. apologies for delay with this morning’s post, I’ve just got back from a fantastic Milton Keynes Geek Night
