From memory it’s not too expensive and if you don’t have coins there is one machine which takes cards.

It might be worth mentioning that it’s a 5-minute walk from Cardiff Queen Street station. For people travelling from outside of Cardiff, it probably still makes sense to walk from Cardiff Central, but for those passing through Queen St anyway, they can disembark and make their way from there instead. :-)
