Conference Website Sneak Peek & The First Two Speakers
1January 10, 2014 by Joel_Hughes
Happy New Year!
After a lovely Christmas break it now seems a good time to flesh out plans for this year and to talk a little more about the conference.
The ‘Business of Web Design” conference is on Friday the 18th of July at the Atrium in Cardiff. The super nice & talented Chris Allwood has been working on the yet-to-be-released website (sneak peek at the end).
I’ve had a fantastic response to my request for speakers and, I’ll not kid you, I’m having the devil’s own job in getting the balance right for talks. However, time is passing and the full line up and website will be up and running by the end of the month. Word.
In the meantime, I can tell you about two of the speakers who I’ve already confirmed.
Sean Johnson
You may well have heard Sean’s dulcet tones on the awesome Freelance Web podcast which he co-hosts with Liz Elcoate. Sean is a freelance, jack of all trades(*), web & graphic designer based in Peterborough. Top chap.
(*Sean, thought you’d like that ;)
Paul Boag
If there were a Mount Rushmore of people in web design, Paul Boag would be up there. Paul has been in the industry from year dot and has oodles of experience from running his design agency Headscape. Listen & learn.
So, I hope that whets your appetite a tad. Tickets are available now.
So, let’s end with some sneak previews of the website (ta Chris!)
Joel

Looks great. Excited to see the new web site.
Seen Boag’s latest post about the Recruitment Crisis? http://boagworld.com/business-strategy/the-recruitment-crisis
Might pay for a ticket just because he’s there… :) Gonna be a good boy and wait for more speakers to be announced though.
